OPALUS loves anything unexpected and filled with passion, that is why we can't begin to explain our excitement about the grand opening of El Cortez Tequila Bar and Kitchen, in Edmonton, Canada, friday August 15th!
Every inch of El Cortez is thoughtfully designed and ready to be discovered, by Michael Maxxix (director of music videos for artists such as Our Lady Peace, Billy Talent, City and Colour and The Heavy www.michaelmaxxis.com), and co-designed by Melanie Swerdan (Photographer working with artists such as Billy Ray Cyrus, Dev and Matt Mays).
Your mind will be taken on a genuine visual treat (as you sip your new favourite drink) being completely surrounded by incredible murals and graffiti by LA artists Leba (http://www.lebaxxx.com), Smear, and Rekoil, as well as one Edmonton artist Kare Jones. Let's put it this way, even if there wasn't food and drink being served, we would still go to enjoy the art work and cohesive design of this space.
It's like walking into a bad-ass art gallery where you're guaranteed to eat something tasty with chef, Alex Sneazwell, and enjoy one of the 100 Tequilas and Mezcals they have to offer.
