We have themes for each issue. See 'above' for current themes and submit your work to us inspired by those themes. We are currently accepting submissions for both online editorials and our print magazine.
We do not pay for submissions. Any expenses or costs incurred in creating your submission are your responsibility.
We do not give free copies of our magazine to our contributors. If you are published in our biannual print magazine we will send you the digital tear sheets.
Posting your approved images online before OPALUS is published may result in your images being pulled from publication. Exceptions apply.
You retain the ownership of your images/films, which is your original work. It is the responsibility of the submitter to ensure that the owner of the images/films has given permission to submit the work and also agrees to these terms and conditions.
OPALUS takes no fault for errors in material issued. We do not guarantee that all or any photos accepted will be used.
We will not accept submissions that do not follow our guidelines.
We do our best to get back to everyone who submits to us. We will contact you if your submission has been accepted. We appreciate all submissions, however if your submission did not fit with the vision of the issue, we encourage you to keep submitting.
Complete wardrobe credits are required and must be sent in a word or pdf document in the following format, i.e.:

Page sizes aretrimmed page size (8.25″ × 10.75″) the bleed area (8.5″ × 11″)
Send images in 72 dpi resolution, if your submission is accepted we will request high resolution images (300dpi)
Submissions must be sent via We-Transfer with the subject line being "Yourname_Editorial_Submission" to firstname.lastname@example.org
