LONDON: Leading figures in the world of fashion are being invited to enter the annual London Fashion Film Festival.
Now in its third year, the popular event, which takes place on Wednesday, September 14, brings together a selection of films created by highly regarded designers, agencies and labels.
The submission extended deadline is on August 31, 2016. All films will be reviewed and considered for the official 2016 selection, which will be finalised by the end of August 2016.
The London Fashion Film Festival is dedicated to celebrating the combined arts of film and fashion.
Set up in 2013 by experts from within both industries, it was created to help showcase creative talent and celebrate fashion in film.
Festival director Beatrice Blom said: “Last year the festival attracted visitors and filmmakers from all over the world including the US, Canada, Poland and the Netherlands.
“We also showcased films from some major brands such as Swarovski, Revlon, Juicy Couture and Harpers Bazaar.
“This year we hope even more brands and budding filmmakers will be entering as we believe London Fashion Film Festival is a fantastic way to promote your brand, product or skills.
“With an international audience and a star studded guest list, showcasing your film is an excellent way to get noticed. As always we will have some leading film and fashion experts heading up the jury, which we’ll be announcing closer to the time.”
This year there will be 15 categories, including best film, director and editing, Also, new category for young fashion filmmaker.
Each year the London Fashion Film Festival host a variety of screenings entered on the subject of fashion and film, giving Londoners, film and fashion enthusiasts the chance to watch a number of iconic movies in the heart of the capital.
Of course the only way to start off the evening is on the Red Carpet. Our Guests can experience the glitz and the glamour of the Red Carpet, Photo shoot and a Drinks reception leading up to the film screenings. Followed by a Q&A with the filmmakers and announcement of the winners of LFFF 2016. And in grand fashion an After party for our guests to end evening of frivolities.
The submission fee is £50, unless the budget of the film being entered exceeded £15,000, in which case it is considered a “major brand” entry and the fee is £200. Student filmmakers get a 50 per cent discount.
