OPALUS Magazine has published work from artists in 16 different countries and has a viewership in over 60 countries! We thank all of the artists that have submitted to us over the past two years, and all of the viewers who have enjoyed their work! We couldn't do this without your amazing work and your continuous support!
We hope to see you all continue to create, submit and be a part of OPALUS!
We encourage you to let your imaginations run free and dig into these next two issue themes!
In Latin, extra means “outside” and terra means “earth.”
As artists we can often describe our imaginations as leaving us and visiting places beyond our planet. Therefore, we may describe our imaginations as extraterrestrial.
In this issue we reflect upon the parts within ourselves that can seem alien to others, or even ourselves. We celebrate them for being something as beatuiful and intriguing as the mysterious of outer space.
From what planet is your imagination?

A new OPALUS series of fashion photography entitled, "While We Wait" addresses the feelings one can experience when we are waiting for something. The heavy feeling of waiting can fill our minds with worry, make us feel isolated, suffocated, and even, filled with anxiety.
Inspired by the desert and the song, "Space Cadet, by rock band KYUSS, image maker Malorie Shmyr addresses her own constant feelings of waiting and invites you to join her in an attempt to live a life without this unnecessary feeling of waiting.
Listen to the song, Space Cadet by KYUSS, while you enjoy "While We Wait".

"ETERNAL EFFLORESCENCE", the October issue of OPALUS is now released!
EDITORS NOTE
Efflorescence is the state in which a flower blooms. In this issue we celebrate the beauty of a blossom and all that it can symbolize. We can relate the peaks and valleys we face in life to the cycle of a flower.
When we are joyful we radiate the same type of rejuvenatingenergy that a blooming flower does. And in our darkest moments our inner self can become visible for all to see, much like a diaphanous blossom. When the bloom dies, we need to always remember that seeds for new flowers are being created.
One bloom can make a hundred seeds - eternal renewal.
